This Hyperdoc explores excerpts of Locke's Two Treatises on Government where students analyze excerpts and apply those ideas to the desegregation of schools in the US as well as Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989. Students gauge whether they agree or disagree with selected excerpts, write them in their own words and discuss with their groups. Finally, students respond to the Hyperdoc Essential Question in a Padlet. The EQ: What were Locke’s views on the role of government and the concept of natural rights?
